Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to quote and cover you, we don't sell it, and you can see or delete it whenever you like.
What we collect
When you request a quote we collect your vehicle registration, mileage, vehicle details, name and email address — plus a phone number and postcode if you choose to give them. When you hold a plan we also keep your payment details, service history evidence and claim records.
How we use it
To prepare your quote, administer your plan, and handle claims. We use your email to send the quote you asked for and essential plan information. We don't add you to marketing lists by default, and we never sell or pass your details to third-party call centres.
Legal basis
We process your data to take steps at your request before entering a contract (your quote), to perform our contract with you (your plan and claims), and to meet our legal record-keeping obligations.
How long we keep it
Quote details that don't become a plan are deleted after 12 months. Plan and claim records are kept for 6 years after the plan ends, as required for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it by emailing privacy@warrantybee.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
